Do you think your site is optimized for conversions? We believe there are always ways to improve your optimization. Below is a list of five changes that are easy to do and can make a world of difference in your conversion rate, if done properly.

Use Real Photos

Using images is very good for marketing but there is a right way and a wrong way to use pictures. Do not use stock pictures. These pictures are not brand specific and give the message that you are just one of the crowd. This message will never instill confidence and in turn not help the conversion rate. instead, use pictures of genuine customers, clients, products, or your employees.

The purpose being, not to just fill space or look good but to show benefit, build credibility, tell a story etc.

Call Them to Action

This is the single most important aspect of your page. DO NOT

1. Blend in your call to action button with the color scheme

2. Have it far down on the page

3. Confuse the visitor as to if it is actually the call to action or not.

Also color, placement, shape, size, wording of the call to action are all very critical for conversion so think them over carefully.

Help Visitors Find What They are Looking For

Everyone who lands on your site has a defined purpose. Make it easy for them to achieve that purpose without them getting lost or frustrated. Another important note here is that not all visitors land on your homepage. This is why your navigation needs to be very easy and persistent across the site.

A navigation menu that keeps on changing depending on what area of the site the person is will confuse the visitor and give them a negative impression of your website.

Keep it Simple

According to research sites that have low visual complexity and a predictable & expected design, provide a better first impression. On the other hand sites that are complex get more negative first impressions. Design your landing pages so that they are easily navigated and clearly show what you promote and why. Everything else is an excess.

Build Trust

Last but not the least, you will need to instill trust amongst your visitors. Unless there is trust no one will be willing to do business with you. The solution here is reviews and testimonials. These build trust and give new customers peace of mind with regard to your offerings.

Testimonials and reviews get people to relate to others who have tried the product or service and gain trust. However, forging these is not a good idea. Reviews and testimonials need to be marked and attributed to specific customers for them to be effective.

Also make sure they are visible prominently on your page and not difficult to find otherwise they lose their value.

    After I originally left a comment I appear to have clicked the
    -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment is added
